Professional Profile
Ana Luna is the Vice Dean of the Business Engineering Degree at the Universidad del Pacífico (Lima-Peru). She is currently a researcher at the CIUP Research Center, a professor in the Academic Department of Engineering at Universidad del Pacífico, and an adherent researcher at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (Lima-Peru). Dr. Luna has a Ph.D. and a degree in Physical Sciences from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA-Argentina). She worked in the Solid Lasers Division at DEILAP, CONICET- Argentina. Within the area of Photonics, she was dedicated to studying the generation of structural color in one of the beetle species endemic to southern Argentina and Chile. She also worked as a professor at the University of Buenos Aires, teaching various courses in the Superior Laboratories area in the Department of Physics of the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences. She was the president of the UBA chapter of the International Society for Optical Engineering, vice president of the UBA chapter of the Optical Society of America, and a member of the Argentine Physical Association. Currently, she is a Senior member of the IEEE and a RENACYT-qualified researcher in the Carlos Monge group, level III.
