Prof. Dr. Leila Figueiredo de Miranda
 
 

Leila Figueiredo de Miranda graduated in Chemical Engineering from Mackenzie Presbyterian University (1976), she had a Bachelor´s degree in Chemical from Mackenzie Presbytherian University (1984), a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Escola Politécnica da USP [Polytechnic School of São Paulo] (1994) and a Doctorate’s degree in Nuclear Technology from Instituto de Pesquisas Energéticas e Nucleares-IPEN/Universidade de São Paulo [Energy and Nuclear Research Institute/ University of São Paulo] (1999). Since 1985, Leila has been Professor at the Mackenzie Presbytherian University and Coordinator of the Materials Engeenering Course of the same University (since 1992). She coordinated the Professional Master’s Program in Materials Engineering of UPM from 2006 to 2007, taking part as coordinator on the Recognition/ Recommendation process of the Program to CAPES. She has experience in Materials and Metalurgical  Engeenering area, with emphasis in Polymers, acting mainly on the following themes: synthesis and development of polymers by ionizing radiation, obtainment of polymeric composites, characterization of polymeric materials and recycling of materials.  Participates as leader researcher on the Mackpesquisa Project: Obtainment of Hydrophilic Membrane Based on PVP Functionalized.
