José A. C. Salvado after graduation in Electrical and Telecommunications Engineering in 1991, he worked in industry for five years before joining the Polytechnic Institute at Castelo Branco, Portugal, in 1996, where currently Adjunct he is Professor with the Department of Electrical and Industrial Engineering. He is member of IEEE (Student Member 1998, Member 2001, Senior Member 2008) and IGIP and invited researcher at IT-Instituto de Telecomunicações (Power Systems Group – Covilhã). He was co-founder and former chair of the IEEE Education Society Chapter Portugal Section.
